This past weekend was a whirlwind of weddings and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. The whirlwind and weather continued right through Sunday evening when I met Chris and Michelle for the their esession. I was a little concerned, however, as I turned the corner of Chapel and Church downtown New Haven. I found myself almost right in the middle of a Bernie Sanders rally. I thought I would never find a parking space but totally lucked out.
I couldn’t miss Michelle & Chris if tried. Their giant golden balloons were glowing in the late day sun, blowing too. Blowing so much in fact, that before I took even one picture, two of the three balloons were off and away. I instantly reached for my camera to document their existence as Chris just shook his head in disbelief. We were off to a good start. Minus loosing the balloons, it was a great time. Check out some images of this wonderful couple from a beautiful night in New Haven.
Congrats you guys! Can’t wait for the wedding!
There’s a thing about vineyards right? As soon as you set foot on one you feel at ease, even before you take a sip. Think about the most famous wine growing regions of the world. They’re incredibly stunning. The quality of life is appreciated on a whole different level. You find yourself completely relaxed, you know nothing more beautiful and you’re filled to the absolute brim with life. A vineyard sounds an awful lot like being in love.
Congrats Paul & Jill! I’m so looking forward to your wedding day.

Well, I’m a little behind in my blog posts but it’s time to catch up. It’s been a busy year and a very busy last few weeks. My wife and I bought a house and are expecting our first baby in February. So yeah… blogging has taken a back seat.
For my first post in awhile I thought it should be about a wonderful couple in love, soon to be married, Conor and Amy. It’s funny because Conor and I worked together briefly ages ago and when he and Amy heard my name while speaking with their venue coordinator, he was like “that’s our guy!” haha… thanks Conor! It was a little tricky scheduling the engagement session. They had a very small window between where they were living in Boston and their big move down south, where Conor is finishing up Law School. Originally we had hoped to shoot in Boston but as it turned out a hometown visit in Branford, CT was just perfect. Here are a few images from a gorgeous day around a great town where Conor and Amy grew up.
Conor & Amy, I couldn’t be happier and more excited to be working with you guys! I can’t wait for the big day!
We weren’t originally going to shoot in Milford but at the last minute we decided that would work best… and it did. Amy & George are from Milford, I’m from Milford and Milford is just where it’s at right now. There are more restaurants and places to eat downtown than you can count on two hands. It’s actually getting a little crazy.
We started at City Hall, shot some old school prom style photos at the duck pond (not really..lol) and finished up over at the Connecticut Audubon Center. It was a little warm to start but it cooled off nicely and by the time we got down to the beach it was absolutely perfect out. I even got serenaded by Amy and George rocking out on the drums… not sure if serenaded is the right word but I’m going with it.. haha
Congrats you two! I can’t wait for the wedding. Enjoy a few photos from our tour of Milford.
One of my favorite places to visit is clearly the Yale University Art Gallery. I’m kind of obsessed! Not only is it filled with amazing works of art but a gorgeous light floods throughout. As Anne & Nick explored the halls and while I was taking some photos along the way, I noticed a wonderful energy about them. It’s a gift to be able to work with people who are so in love and sweet with each other.
Anne & Nick, I had wonderful time in New Haven with you guys! I can’t wait for the wedding! Nick, no more coffee for you.. haha.
I met Kelly & Jordan at the Yale University Art Gallery for their engagement session. After some extensive renovations the gallery has recently re-opened and looks great. If given the chance, you have to check it out, it’s a must visit. We strolled the gallery making our way to the sculpture terrace on the top floor. Lit up wonderfully with statues glimmering under a bright sun, the terrace looked perfect on such a beautiful day. As Kelly & Jordan admired these works of art, I stood back and admired them. After all, Love is an incredible work of art.
The sun was shining over the gorgeous Gouveia Vinyards. The horses were still out grazing next door. It’s such a beautiful place. I really couldn’t have asked for a better day or location to shoot Colleen and Justin’s engagement session.
What a great day for a photo shoot! There was snow on the ground and the sun was out melting what was left of it. We were a little worried about rescheduling after that big snowfall. Haha… who are we kidding? We live in New England. More than a foot on Wednesday, almost 70 degrees on Friday and any trace that we even had snow was gone by Sunday.
Vicki & Darren, Congratulations! I can’t wait for your wedding!
